Local Sevier County Family Community Education (FCE) members Joan Saas, Jean Chase and Jan Lapides attended the FCE Regional Conference in Knoxville. A total of 33 counties were represented.
Justin Crowe, 4-H State Specialist, inspired all participants to impact their county through leadership service. Creative crafts were also exhibited, made by FCE members throughout the region. Jan Lapides and Judy Pat Williams represented Sevier County through their Cultural Arts entries of Quilting and Recycling.
A hand made quilt representing the counties of the FCE Eastern Region was also displayed. Judy Pat Williams created two Sevier County squares, depicting a mountain landscape and a patchwork heart for “Heart of FCE”. This quilt project will be sold later as a fund raising for scholarships and program needs.
