The 28th season of Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede promises to be the most exciting and unique yet, as all-new sights and sounds will create an atmosphere unlike any other.
“I want to dazzle our guests in 2015 with a completely new atmosphere,” Dolly said. “My team is hard at work creating a new set, powerful new music, lots of amazing special effects and a few other surprises.”
The updates and changes include new state-of-the-art theatrical lighting and sound systems, as well as a new music score and aerial act, marking the largest upgrade and investment in the show since opening in 1988.
“Thanks to innovative lighting technology, our main arena backdrop will come to life and feature a stunning tribute to the Great Smoky Mountains,” said Dixie Stampede President Jim Rule. “Our guests will be transported into the middle of the woods on a star-filled night without ever leaving their dinner seats.”
Dixie Stampede’s award-winning production team has created a completely new atmosphere designed to connect with guests of all ages.
Known as “The Most Fun Place To Eat In The Smokies,” Rule says that will only be enhanced thanks to the improvements. “Our guests will truly be immersed in each facet of the show, creating a new level of excitement not yet experienced at Dixie Stampede or any attraction in the area.”
And although there will be a number of changes, many aspects of the show will remain the same, including the heart of the production, Dixie Stampede’s talented cast of performers, trick riders and impressive stable of 32 horses. Guests are still expected to bring a hearty appetite with them as they will be served Dixie Stampede’s traditional four-course feast.
“Visiting Dixie Stampede has become an annual tradition for many of our guests and we’re truly excited to open the doors and see their reactions, as they fall in love all over again with this amazing new adventure,” added Rule.
The first show of 2015 is scheduled for Friday, February 13. Shows are performed daily; show times and reservations are available by calling 1-800-356-1676 or visiting www.dixiestampede.com.
