Get Your Team Together for the United Way Amazing Race at NASCAR SpeedPark

MARCH 3, 2015 UPDATE: The Amazing Race event to benefit United Way has been postponed to Thursday, April 30, 2015 due to the prediction of Snow/Ice/Cold temps for this Thursday.

Grab three of your friends or family and compete in the United Way Amazing Race at NASCAR SpeedPark Smoky Mountains for a chance to win some amazing getaways while supporting a good cause.

The United Way Amazing Race is a team competition event at NASCAR SpeedPark in Sevierville to be held 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 5, 2015. NASCAR SpeedPark and the PARC Foundation are hosting the event and proceeds will benefit United Way of Sevier County.

Four-person teams will compete for the fastest time in a series of physical and skill challenges set up in the NASCAR SpeedPark. Each team member will participate in one of these timed events:

• Go-kart time trial
• One-mile run on the Smoky Mountain Speedway Track
• Sega’s Grid racing simulator
• Race to the top of the rockclimbing wall

The finish times of each individual team member’s event will be added together to achieve the team’s total time. The team with the fastest time will receive four vacation getaways, one for each team member. Prizes will also be awarded for 2nd and 3rd place teams. Everyone who participates will get a United Way Amazing Race t-shirt.

Register before February 18, 2015 for $100 per team. Registration after that date is $120 per team.
