Officers with the Sevier County Sheriff’s Office tased a man who resisted arrest after trying to break into a home early Tuesday morning.
The Sevier County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call from residents of 1080 Dishers Mountain Rd. in Sevierville at 2:31 a.m. on April 14, 2015 stating that a neighbor was trying to break into their home. When officers arrived, they found the suspect running around outside the residence wrapped in a sheet.
The man was later identified as 29-year-old Jonathon C. Golloway.
“After trying to get subject to comply with officer’s orders, an officer deployed his taser and Galloway was taken into custody,” said Chief Detective Jeff McCarter with the department.
Officers charged Golloway with Aggravated Burglary, Criminal Impersonation, Resisting Arrest, Criminal Trespassing and Public Intoxication. He also had an outstanding warrant in Knox County.
Golloway is being held in Sevier County Jail at this time and a hold has been placed for Knox County.
