Bond Girl Rachel Grant Named Grand Marshal of Gatlinburg Parade

On Dec. 4, 2015, the 40th Fantasy of Lights Parade will step off at 7:30 p.m. celebrating the arrival of Santa Claus in Gatlinburg. Everyone is invited to wear a Santa hat to the parade to welcome Santa Claus to town! Actress and Bond Girl Rachel Grant will be the Grand Marshal of the Parade.

Bond Girl Rachel Grant is an actress, adventurer, travel writer and former international beauty queen who has logged expeditions to six continents and almost 70 countries. While she is best known for playing Bond girl Peaceful in “Die Another Day,” Rachel has dedicated herself to helping disadvantaged communities and currently is building a school in the Philippines for 150 children who were typhoon victims. Rachel also serves as global ambassador for the Philippines’ leading social enterprise Human Nature, creating jobs within underprivileged communities. She continues to seek new adventures and pursue novel opportunities that combine her zeal for exploring with her generosity of spirit.

For 40 years the award winning Fantasy of Lights Parade has thrilled more than 20,000,000 people with a parade line up of more than one mile of floats, marching bands from all over the east, large balloons, dancers, musicians, equestrian units and of course, Santa Claus. The Gatlinburg Fantasy of Lights Parade begins at traffic light #1A on East Parkway at 7:30 p.m., winds through Gatlinburg and ends at traffic light #10. Parade-goers are encouraged to arrive early to find a spot on the Parkway to watch the parade.
