Ole Smoky announced today the local launch of its Ole Smoky whiskey line and the grand opening of its new distillery, The Barrelhouse. The company, which is famous for its Tennessee Moonshines, plans to build off of the success of Davy Crockett’s Tennessee Whiskey by rebranding Davy Crockett Whiskey and renovating their distillery.
“The whiskey line is going to be a great addition to Ole Smoky’s collection of moonshines,” says Joe Baker, founder of Ole Smoky Moonshine. “We are honored that we are able to grow a business everyone in East Tennessee knows and loves.”
Ole Smoky Whiskey will soon be available at retailers throughout Tennessee. Ole Smoky is giving a revitalized new look and feel to the former whiskey company. With the merging of these two fine Gatlinburg based companies, Ole Smoky will leverage the strengths of the very high quality whiskey products with its already very strong and highly recognized brand name.
At the Barrelhouse, visitors will be able to see firsthand how the whiskey is made, enjoy whiskey tastings, as well as shop through Ole Smoky Whiskey’s expanded collection of retail merchandise.
“We are confident that this business endeavor will bring the company great success. Having two categories under Ole Smoky’s name is a huge win for the company, and we hope it will be a great opportunity to increase our fan base,” says the CEO of Ole Smoky, Robert Hall.
Ole Smoky Whiskey will be available throughout Tennessee in four flavors, Straight Tennessee Whiskey, Blended Whiskey, Salty Caramel Whiskey, and Tennessee Mud. The company has future plans to expand its presence and increase its number of whiskey sku’s in 2017. There is much excitement about Ole Smoky now participating in the growing whiskey business, and the two Ole Smoky distilleries (The Holler and The Barrelhouse) will provide even more enjoyable experiences for the many visitors that come to Gatlinburg.
The Barrelhouse is located at 650 Parkway in Gatlinburg, Tenn.
