The Sevier County Economic Development Council is coordinating a Manufacturing Job Fair to assist various Sevier County industries in fulfilling their staffing needs.
“The manufacturing segment of the Sevier County economy is doing very well,” said Janice Bettis, special projects manager at Sevier County Economic Development Council. “OTICS USA will begin operation at their Kodak plant soon and need twenty-five plus employees immediately.”
In addition to OTICS USA, other companies that will be hiring at the Manufacturing Job Fair include Lisega, Inc.; KaTom Restaurant Supply; Johnson Matthey Catalysts; and Swaggerty Sausage.
The Manufacturing Job Fair will be held noon – 6 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 22, 2016 at the Sevierville Civic Center located at 130 Gary Wade Blvd. in Sevierville.
Employers will be looking to fill the following full-time positions that include benefits:
- chemical operator
- maintenance mechanic
- warehouse associates
- sales specialists
- welder
- assembler
- CAD operator
- CAD designer
- machine operator
- painter & blaster
- PLC team members
- quality inspection team member
- manufacturing team members
- line workers
- sanitation supervisor (English & Spanish
- maintenance workers
