Junk Gypsy Trunk Show and Book Tour Stops at Stages West in Pigeon Forge

The Sikes sisters of Junk Gypsy will be greeting fans, showcasing new products and signing copies of their new book at Stages West in Pigeon Forge on Friday.

Stages West, located at 2765 Parkway in Pigeon Forge, will be hosting a meet and greet event with Amie and Jolie Sikes, owners of Junk Gypsy, on Friday, Nov. 11, 2016 from 1-3 p.m.

Amie and Jolie are sisters with an addiction to flea markets, wanderlust, and Americana-inspired design. Born and raised in small-town Texas, both graduated from Texas A&M only to discover that their nine-to-five jobs were not what they had planned. With a little faith and a whole lot of heart, the sisters soon learned they had a true penchant and passion for transforming flea market “junk” into unique, beautiful pieces. This passion has landed them roles on shows on HGTV and Great American Country. They have also designed for celebrities like Miranda Lambert, Dierks Bentley, Billie Joe Armstrong, and Marcus Luttrell.

“We are beyond thrilled to host such wonderful and talented designers here at Stages West,” said Stephen Houser, third generation owner of Stages West. “Their Americana-inspired designs are a perfect addition to our store and their passion for faith, family and country resonate with the mission of our store.”

Junk Gypsy: Designing a Life at the Crossroads of Wonder and Wander

Houser explains that at the meet and greet event, both Amie and Jolie will be present to sign boots and showcase some of their new products. They will also be selling and signing copies of their new book, Junk Gypsy: Designing a Life at the Crossroads of Wonder and Wander. Packed with gorgeous photos, the book is filled with inspiration to “think big and live large.” Part DIY projects, part gritty go get ‘em guidance, part road trip travelogue, and part flea market field guide, the book is a celebration of the free-spirited and funky attitude and aesthetic embraced by Amie and Jolie.

“It’s not every day that we get the opportunity to host one of the designers of our products,” said Houser. “We value our customers and try to find special ways to show them this every time they come through our doors. We look forward to seeing everyone come out, and meet these wonderful ladies.”

Stages West’s store hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. For more information on Stages West, visit www.stageswest.com.
