Extra Dollywood Sevier County Days Planned to Aid Food Ministries

In an effort to give Sevier County Food Ministries a little more help this winter, another Dollywood Sevier County Days special has been announced.

Sevier County residents and workers may celebrate the season and view millions of Christmas lights at Dollywood’s Smoky Mountain Christmas for only a $5 donation during Dollywood Sevier County Days running Monday, Dec. 31, 2018 – Saturday, Jan. 5, 2019.

A $5 donation per person will benefit Sevier County Food Ministries, a voluntary interfaith ministry that provides essential food assistance to local families.

On Dec. 17, Dollywood officials presented a check for more than $35,000 raised from the Sevier County Days held in November.

Dollywood’s upgrades for the 2018 season:

Smoky Mountain Christmas runs through Jan. 5, 2019.

Dollywood celebrates the biggest expansion in the history of its award-winning Smoky Mountain Christmas with the addition of Glacier Ridge. The new experience adds one million lights, bringing the overall total to five million beautiful Christmas lights throughout Dollywood, along with a spectacular 50-foot video motion Christmas tree.

How to take advantage of Dollywood Sevier County Days:

  • Present your state or federal issued photo I.D. and verification of Sevier County residence* or employment** at any designated Dollywood ticket booth any ONE operating day Dec. 31, 2018 – Jan. 5, 2019.
  • Offer good for one day only at Dollywood. Five-dollar donation required for admission for each guest.
  • A spouse must present a state or federal issued photo I.D. with same last name. If the spouse’s last name is not the same, spouse must also provide proof of marriage.
  • Children 3 years of age and younger get in free.
  • Anyone 16 years of age or older must present a state or federal issued photo I.D. and verification of Sevier County residence* or employment**.
  • Children ages 13-15 must have a state or federal issued I.D. AND be accompanied by someone age 16 or older with a state or federal issued I.D. to enter parks without a parent or legal guardian.
  • Children ages 15 & under without a state or federal issued I.D. and still living at home must enter the parks with a parent or legal guardian.
  • Admission does not include parking fee, games, food, merchandise or separately ticketed attractions.
  • Appropriate attire required.
  • Parking fee applies ($15 per car, $18 per RV)

* Electric bill, water bill, personal checking account

** Computer generated payroll stub or check dated within the last 30 days

Sevier County Food Ministries is located at 890 Old Knoxville Highway in Sevierville. It operates Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. 300-500 families are served each day. Families in need may receive food assistance once per week.

  2. I think what Dollywood, as a company, does for the local people, community, and the great state of Tennessee is beautiful!!! My daughter & I live in Oak Ridge and would love to visit Dollywood, but because of a limited budget, we can not afford the ticket price. Maybe someday. Keep up the good work!!!!! We are proud to say , “We are from the great state of Tennessee”!!!!!!!!!!!!!
