Sevierville Commons Arts Council Plans Arts in the Park, Issues Call for Artists

The Sevierville Commons Arts Council is planning its first annual Arts in the Park to be held at the Gazebo on Bruce Street in downtown Sevierville and has issued a call for artists to participate.

Arts in the Park will be held April 20, 2019 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The free, family-friendly event will host up to 30 local artist and makers who work with an array of mediums from jewelry, fiber, glass, and ceramics to photography, watercolor, and mixed media. There will also be local food vendors, live music and free activities for the kids.

Arts in the Park Call for Artists

The council announced a call for artists to participate in Arts in the Park, which will be a juried show. It is looking for artists that create original, handmade fine arts and fine crafts. Applications for submission are available at Arts in the Common Gallery, 129 Bruce Street in downtown Sevierville, and by email request to commonsartscouncil@gmail.com with “Arts in the Park” in the subject line. Artists must provide three photos of their work, with one preferably being a booth photo from previous show participation. The deadline to submit an application for jury is March 31. All booth spaces will be 10×10 feet and cost $50, payable after jury acceptance.
