Rubber injection molding machine manufacturer REP Corp. relocates to Kodak

REP Corporation has finalized the move to its new North American Headquarters in Kodak. REP Corp. is a subsidiary of Lyon, France-based REP International, which is a world leading producer of rubber injection molding machines.

The move from Bartlett, Ill. to Kodak is an effort to serve its customer base from a more strategically located ‘center’ of the industry and—as emerging markets gravitate to a more southerly locale—this places REP Corp. into a further leadership role in remaining responsive, agile and accessible. The ability to deliver parts, service and operate all of its administrative functions and keep an operational Sales Showroom will ensure REP stays in the forefront of new and existing clients planning.

“We are very pleased that REP Corp. has identified Sevier County as a great location from which to do business,” stated Larry Waters, Sevier County mayor. “We welcome them to our community and look forward to their continued success and future growth.”

“The Sevier County Economic Development Council works hard to recruit not only tourism related businesses but also looks to add manufacturing companies to our community,” said Rick Harrell, board chairman of Sevier County Economic Development Council. “The addition of REP Corp. to our manufacturing family is very exciting. They are a first class company in everything that they do and will be a great addition to our community.”

In 1907 France, Robert Esnault-Pelterie founded the company that bears his initials. Since that small beginning REP has remained an industry leader. REP pioneered numerous technologies in the emerging aerospace industry back then, including the pilot’s joystick for aircraft flight control systems, aerospace engines, monoplane production, and ultimately choosing to develop, patent and implement rubber injection molding as a core competency in the early 1960’s. Just some of the “Firsts by REP” are shown here as:
