The Dollywood Company is looking for more friendly faces ready to join the team and has scheduled a number of hiring events to help make those dreams a reality.
Most hiring event attendees will leave with a position for the 35th anniversary season at Dollywood, the 20th anniversary season at Dollywood’s Splash Country or at the ever-popular Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort and Spa.
One thing is for certain about working at Dollywood; its wide array of positions and opportunities mean anyone can find a perfect fit for their aspirations. From part-time positions for students to a full-time career with ample chances for advancement and all points in between, working at Dollywood may very well become a lifetime commitment for those looking for something more than the regular job. Perhaps it is why so many employees have remained with the company for multiple decades.
Hiring events are slated for Saturday, Feb. 8 and Saturday, Feb. 22 at Sevier County High School. Additional hiring events are scheduled for Feb. 1 at Field of Dreams in Dandridge, Feb. 29 at Seymour Heights Christian Church in Seymour and April 4 at Arrowhead Church in Morristown. Each event takes place from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Positions are available for the entire length of the 2020 operating season, as well as shorter peak season openings, which are perfect for applicants looking for a fun summer position or for those looking to earn a little extra money during the Christmas holidays. Applicants must be 15 years of age or older.
“Whatever I do, I’m appreciated,” said Sue Cochran, a member of the Dollywood’s Splash Country house and grounds team. “From the top leadership to all of my co-workers, people always tell me ‘thank you’ and ‘you did a great job!’”
Positions are available on several teams including Dollywood’s fast-paced culinary and merchandise teams, as well as park operations positions including ticketing, transportation, house and grounds, and more. Among the openings at Dollywood’s Splash Country are hospitality, lifeguard and food service positions. Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort and Spa also has a number of openings available like cooks, food service and housekeeping positions.
Nick Colombo, one of Dollywood’s Splash Country’s award-winning lifeguards explained, “You wake up every day excited for work. You get to see and work alongside people you enjoy; it gives me something to look forward to, knowing I’m going to spend the day with people I love to spend time with.”
