Sevier County schools are currently closed and that closure has been extended through March 31. Students will return to school on April 1, 2020.
On Wednesday, March 18, school personnel will distribute at home learning packets for students in grades K-4 from 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. at your child’s school. At home learning packets have been downloaded onto Chromebooks in grades 5-8. Chromebooks for students in grades 5-8 will also be available for parent pickup on March 18 from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. at your child’s school.
Students in grades 9-12 who do not have their Chromebooks at home can also pick up their Chromebooks at school on Wednesday from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. These students should go to www.sevier.org for directions on how to digitally download their lessons. Parents who cannot come to the school on Wednesday to pick up materials or Chromebooks, will be able to come by the school office to do so on Thursday or Friday of this week between the hours of 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Sevier County Schools Child Nutrition Program will provide breakfast and lunch at no cost to any child 18 years and younger beginning March 18. The meals will be a grab and go breakfast and lunch and may be picked up at the school the child attends. The meals will be available beginning Wednesday, March 18, and on school days through the closure period. Cafeteria staff will provide drive through service at each school between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
Medicine stored in the school clinic may be picked up by a parent or guardian on Wednesday, March 18, from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
