City of Pigeon Forge and Sevier County Office of Emergency Management are partnering with Kroger Health to hold a COVID-19 drive-thru testing site in the parking lot of the Pigeon Forge Community Center this week.
Kroger is pleased to partner with the City of Pigeon Forge and Sevier County OEM to facilitate a free drive-thru COVID-19 testing opportunity.
The two-day event will take place Thursday, May 14 and Friday, May 15, 2020 from 8:30a.m. to 5:30 p.m., in the parking lot of the Pigeon Forge Community Center located at 170 Community Center Drive. People seeking a test will use a virtual screening tool based on Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidance. Individuals who don’t have symptoms and anyone with health concerns is eligible for testing.
“We are grateful to Kroger Health for providing this opportunity for the citizens of our community,” said Pigeon Forge City Manager Earlene Teaster. “Increased testing opportunities are vital as we begin to get people back to work.”
How to get FREE COVID-19 Testing
Individuals must schedule an appointment via Kroger Health’s online portal at www.krogerhealth.com/covidtesting. Scheduling an appointment is required to receive a test.
The Pigeon Forge Police Department and Kroger Health associates will be present to direct traffic to the designated testing area. Please make sure windows are up on all vehicles when in the testing area and individuals need to have their photo ID ready.

This onsite testing is supported with the laboratory services provided by eTrueNorth, a contractor of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
As of May 13, 2020, there have been 65 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Sevier County. Two patients died. 58 patients recovered. Five active cases remain.
Statewide there has been 16,370 cases, in which 273 died, 8,624 recovered and 7,473 remain active.
