Local Art Students Decorate Special Operations Center Windows for Holidays

Sheriff Ron Seals is continuing the Sevier County Sheriff’s Office youth initiative program this holiday season by reaching out to local high school art students. Sheriff Seals invited students from Sevier County High School, who spent the afternoon painting holiday scenes on the windows of the Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Center located on Middle Creek Road in Sevierville.

Students were visited by Sheriff Seals and Chief Deputy Michael Hodges, Jr. For their work, students received a letter of appreciation, hours toward their Tennessee Promise Scholarship community service requirements, and sheriff’s office gift bag.

During the visit, Chief Deputy Michael Hodges utilized the time with the students to reiterate the importance of not texting while driving and provided literature about safe driving and drug abuse.

The members of the Sevier County Sheriff’s Office appreciate the individualism and creativity of each artist’s work and by utilizing the windows of the special operations center, the community and members of the Sheriff’s office can both share in viewing the talent of our Sevier County art students.
