Smoky Mountain Animal Clinic in Seymour, Tenn. says a client found the dog named “Friend” wandering on U.S. Route 411 and brought him to the their office. Along with $40, a worn note written in pencil was attached to the dog.
“Please take care of me,” the note said. “I am 11 years old. I am not aggressive. My name is Friend. Use hand signals.”
The veterinary clinic said their client cannot keep the dog, but was kind enough to update all of its vaccinations.
“He has been nothing but tail wags and smiles since he got here, listens well and is very sweet!” the clinic said on its facebook page.
