Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort is holding free concerts this weekend as part of its Lyrics & Lore event.
Lyrics & Lore, running January 17-18, 2020 at Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort in Pigeon Forge, brings together some of the country’s most talented storytellers and musicians to celebrate the rich traditions of songwriting and storytelling in the Appalachian region. Audience members have the opportunity to enjoy internationally-recognized storytellers as they share their stories and learn about the most popular songs heard on the radio.
This year’s event includes free concerts by Deana Carter, known for her hit “Strawberry Wine,” and Beth Nielsen Chapman, who wrote “This Kiss,” sung by Faith Hill.
Beth Nielsen Chapman will perform Friday at 8 p.m. and doors open at 7 p.m.
Deana Carter performs on Saturday at 9 p.m. and doors open at 7:30 p.m.
Concerts on Friday and Saturday night are complimentary and open to the public. Concert seating is limited. Certain other events are also open to the public, but participation in co-write workshops and private events requires registration and $135 fee. Click here for the complete Lyrics & Lore schedule.
Lyrics & Lore is hosted by The Dollywood Entertainment team, The International Storytelling Center and Bandtwango at Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort and Spa.
