A television commercial that showcases the appeal of Pigeon Forge as a family destination has been nominated for an Emmy Award.
The commercial is titled “Where Should We Go?,” and it shows two siblings’ efforts to influence their parents’ family vacation decision. BOHAN Advertising in Nashville, which has marketed Pigeon Forge for 25 years, produced the commercial.

“Emmy Awards are television’s highest honor,” said Leon Downey, executive director of the Pigeon Forge Department of Tourism, “so learning of the nomination was great news.”
BOHAN-produced commercials have won Emmy Awards for Pigeon Forge four times, including this year. Winners from the current nominees will be announced in Nashville on Jan. 31.
Two other BOHAN projects have Emmy Award nominations in another category. Those are for multi-commercial campaigns for BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee and Saint Thomas Health in Nashville.
“We are on our way to another record tourism revenue year, and the push we get from television advertising is a big factor. It’s great to have solid creative ideas that really promote our brand,” Downey said.
BOHAN has won at least one Emmy Award in nine of the last 10 years.
