Thieves Steal Utility Vehicle from Smoky Mountain Celebration Charity Raffle

An off road utility vehicle on display as a prize in the charity raffle next month by Smoky Mountain Celebration has been stolen.

The Sevier County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating the Polaris RZR 570 side by side utility vehicle stolen from a trailer in the parking lot of Chambers Market at 2720 Newport Highway in Sevierville, Tenn. around midnight the evening of Friday, Aug. 14, 2015.

The 2015 Polaris RZR 570 is one of the top prizes to be raffled by the non-profit organization Smoky Mountain Celebration on Sept. 26, 2015. It is valued at approximately $12,000. Proceeds from the raffle benefit Sevier County high school sports and other participating non-profit agencies such as Cure Finders, Douglas Cooperative, Rotary, Seymour Volunteer Fire Department and the Sevier County Fair.

A spokesperson for Smoky Mountain Celebration said there is a $500 reward for anyone that has information that leads to the recovery of the vehicle and arrest of the perpetrators.
