The wait is over Sevierville, Arby’s® is coming to town! On Dec. 29th, 2015, residents are invited to come out and celebrate the grand opening of the new Arby’s restaurant in Sevierville.
Mayor Bryan Atchley will officiate the ribbon cutting ceremony and the restaurant will open at 10 a.m. To celebrate opening day, every 50th guest will receive their order FREE.
Arby’s franchisees, Tom and John Johnson, who grew up in East Tennessee, have been interested in opening a restaurant in Sevierville for many years, but were waiting for the right space to accommodate the restaurant.
“There was a high demand for a second Arby’s in Sevier County,” said Tom Johnson. “We built the Arby’s on the Parkway in Pigeon Forge in 1974 and have known that this would be a good location for another Arby’s for many years.”
The new Arby’s restaurant will employ 50 employees, including 6 managers, and be open from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. everyday inside and the drive-thru.
“The whole team is looking forward to offering Sevierville residents an alternative to regular fast food by celebrating the art of Meatcraft™ with a variety of high-quality proteins paired with crave-able sides, such as Curly Fries and Jamocha shakes,” Johnson said.
Thomas G. Johnson, Jr. built his first Arby’s in Knoxville on Kingston Pike at Papermill Road where both sons, Tom and John, who now own and run the company, started. They now own 19 Arby’s and the Arby’s Food Truck. “We have spent our lives in the Arby’s business and are now happy to be sharing it with our children – the third generation,” said Tom Johnson.
The new Arby’s restaurant is located at 1400 Winfield Dunn Parkway in Sevierville, Tenn.
