$1 Million Powerball Ticket Sold in Pigeon Forge

A local resident or visitor to the area who bought a Powerball ticket in Pigeon Forge for Saturday’s drawing has won a million dollars.

According to Tennessee lottery officials, there were 59,251 winning tickets in Tennessee for the July 30, 2016 drawing of the multistate Powerball game, including one ticket sold at Zoomerz, 3643 Parkway in Pigeon Forge, that matched five numbers without the Power Play and is worth $1 million.

There were three $50,000 winners in Tennessee, those tickets sold in Murfreesboro, LaVergne and Columbia.

The $487 million Powerball grand prize was won in New Hampshire Saturday. The ticket was purchased at a store in the town of Raymond, matching all five numbers 11-17-21-23-32 plus the Powerball 5 and did not include the Power Play. It was the fifth largest Powerball jackpot in history.

The Powerball jackpot will reset to $40 million.
