Authorities say they captured three suspects in a Sevier County home burglary on Saturday, also finding a cache of stolen items from other area burglaries.
The Sevier County Sheriff’s Office says it received a 911 call on Feb. 25, 2017 reporting a burglary in progress at a residence on Wye Drive. A relative of the homeowner saw an unknown Ford F-150 in the driveway and found the home’s door forced open.
“At that time, he was confronted by a female with a gun along with another female and a male, who were inside the home at the time,” said Chief Det. Jeff McCarter. “The female then shot at the witness and the subjects jumped in the truck and fled the scene.”
On Sunday, officers found the suspect’s pickup at a residence in Deerfield Trailer Park on Boyd’s Creek Road in Sevierville and took three suspects from that residence into custody.
Rebecca L. Shular, 21, is charged with Aggravated Burglary, Aggravated Assault and Possession of a Weapon during the commission of a Felony. Kimberly Dockery, 31, and Isaac J. Reed, 31, have both been charged with Aggravated Burglary. All three suspects are being held in Sevier County Jail while they await arraignment in General Sessions Court.
At the time of arrest, officers found several guns and flat screen TVs that had been taken from other burglaries in the area. They executed a search warrant on the suspect’s residence and found jewelry, tools, electronics and other personal items they believe to be stolen. Detectives are working to identify the property that was confiscated during the investigation and are asking anyone that may be a victim of a burglary or theft in the area to contact Det. Jim Huddleston at Sevier County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division at 865-428-1899 or 865-453-4668.
“More charges are pending as the investigation continues and detectives are anticipating solving more burglaries and making more arrests as a result of the investigation,” McCarter added.
Thanks for the updates!
